Jeffery Wall serves as Director of Choral Studies at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK where he is also the Chair of the Department of Music. He conducts the University Singers and the University/Community Chorus. He conducts a professional-level chamber choir headquartered in Broken Arrow, OK called Vox Solaris. He has over 20 years of teaching experience, including the university/collegiate level and secondary school, grades 7-12. Additionally, he has teaching experience in choral pedagogy and conducting, applied voice, and other vocal music classes.
Dr. Wall is in demand as a conductor, teacher, clinician, and adjudicator. He has served in faculty positions in Texas, New Mexico, Georgia, Kansas, and Oklahoma. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) degree from the University of South Carolina, M.M. from The University of Tennessee, and a B.M. from Texas Tech University. Wall has presented interest sessions for the Kansas Choral Directors Association, Oklahoma Music Educators Association, Oklahoma Choral Directors Association, Arkansas Music Educators Association, The College Music Society, and the Southwestern Division of the American Choral Directors Association. He was a guest conductor with the Salem College Choir in North Carolina and Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He led an international tour with the NSU Chorus for the American Celebration of Music in Ireland where his choir was presented with an Outstanding Performance Award from Music Celebrations International. In 2018, he led a tour through Dallas with the University Singers, dropping in at several high schools and churches. The tour revolved around the pinnacle performance as prelude choir for the North Texas Children's Choir at the Meyerson Symphony Center. February 2020 brought a reprisal of this same tour. In June 2020, Wall was invited as guest conductor with MidAmerica Productions in NYC at Carnegie Hall. This performance was cancelled due to COVID-19. Dr. Wall is an active member of the American Choral Directors Association, the National Association for Music Education, the National Collegiate Choral Association, and the College Music Society. He has served as Collegiate/University Repertoire & Resources Chair for the Oklahoma Choral Directors Association & the Interest Session Chair for the 2022 Southwestern division conference of the American Choral Directors Association. He also serves as the Conference Chair for the 2024 Southwestern division of the American Choral Directors Association. |
